José Antonio Kast

José Antonio Kast, a distinguished lawyer and graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, is a prominent figure in Chilean politics. A former member of the MG, he is widely recognized as the founder of the Republican Party of Chile and currently serves as the president of Acción Republicana. Kast has been at the forefront of political leadership, championing the principles of freedom and common sense.

Alongside the Acción Republicana movement, Kast travels across Chile, sharing ideas and promoting the development of new leaders through the THINK TANK Centro de Estudios Ideas Republicanas.

His political career includes serving in the Chilean Parliament as a deputy from 2001 to 2017. He has twice run for president, receiving 8% of the vote in 2017 and a remarkable 44% in 2021.
